Roles & Responsibilities

Do you have a masters’ degree in law, and would you like to explore career opportunities other than joining a law firm? Find out here below why we will be the #1 Regulatory practice in Belgium within the next few years and why you should be part of our journey.

What do we do?

KPMG’s Regulatory Compliance & Transformation Practice (part of KPMG Advisory) provides strategic advice and technical regulatory compliance solutions to help financial services providers anticipate and manage their regulatory risk. Our team helps clients meet regulatory expectations and obligations by implementing effective and efficient governance and risk management frameworks, enhancing internal controls, and helping create a culture of risk management and compliance. We do so in the field, side-by-side with our clients.

To us, having a good understanding of legal requirements is a sheer necessity, but legal analysis will be a small part of our job. Our job is about “making it happen” in practice. To this end, you will work in multidisciplinary teams with colleagues from other service lines – such as Financial Risk Managers, Data Scientists, Smart Automation and Process specialists – or with RegTech firms with whom we have established strategic partnerships.

Your first mission would consist of projects in connection with Anti-Money Laundering (AML). Specifically, banks have a fundamental role as “gatekeeper” to prevent those proceeds from illicit acts.
