KPMG is a market leader in business consulting providing Advisory, Audit, Tax , Legal, and Accountancy services. KPMG Belgium is part of the global KPMG network serving large and mid-sized corporations in Belgium.
As a trusted business partner, KPMG’s in-house legal team provides tailormade and business centric legal services to the Belgian KPMG network on a variety of legal issues. We are looking for a legal advisor to join our team. The legal advisor will report to the Senior Legal Counsel.
Roles and responsibilities
As an in-house legal advisor, you will be monitoring and reviewing relevant legal requirements applicable to the Belgian KPMG organization and translating it into applicable guidelines for KPMG’s business on a broad range of matters, mainly in the field of Commercial and IP/ICT/ Privacy Law.
You will advise our internal clients on these matters, and you will review, draft and negotiate various types of commercial and business contracts (e.g., general terms and conditions, license agreements, data protection agreements, lease agreements, consultancy agreements, …). You will contribute to the development and the update of legal templates.
You will work closely with other KPMG departments in order to provide the most complete assistance and advice possible, taking into account the legal framework and the business needs of KPMG.

Skills & Qualifications

  • You have a master’s degree in law
  • You have 2 to 4 years relevant professional experience (law firm, in – house legal department)
  • You are eager to learn and able to understand complex legal issues
  • You have strong analytical and writing skills
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English and have a good level in French
  • You are a real team player
  • You are business oriented, proactive and creative
