Working for our Renewables and Urban Business Line

The Renewables & Urban Business Line of Laborelec provides business-focused research and expertise services to energy operators worldwide in the fields of solar, wind, hybrid and flexible assets, future home and collectivities, e-Mobility, lighting and energy storage.

In particular, we lead and execute R&D projects and Operational projects, ranging from desktop studies, pilot project realization, solution development, measurement campaigns and inspections, often performed in collaboration with different research or industrial partners and operational entities of ENGIE.

Context of the job

Within the Renewable Energy and Urban business line of Laborelec, we are looking for a Delivery Lead Wind to further develop and strengthen our activities in the field of Wind.

As Delivery Lead Wind:

  • You are in charge of a portfolio made of Research Programs and/or Services in your Delivery domain

  • You construct and keep up-to-date a technology vision and roadmap for your Delivery domain and interact with

  • the people organisation to staff the project teams and

  • the sales organisation to fuel the product strategy

  • You are the Operational Manager of Project Managers/Experts from a day-to-day Delivery perspective

  • You report to the Head of Delivery, member of the Business Line Core Team

  • You empower the people involved in your Delivery domain, by leading, motivating and coaching them

  • You contribute to offering and value proposals in strong collaboration with the Sales & People Teams

  • You transform contracts into delivery : you appoint project and service managers and together with them do the allocation of resources, interpretation and validation of scope, planning & budget)

  • You ensure the overall performance and customer satisfaction (‘on scope, on budget, on time’, via monitoring & reporting of the delivery activities, and setting the right priorities)

  • You validate the quality of the deliverables and watch over the quality of project management

  • You supervise the decision for invoicing to customers/partners/sub-contractors, and make decisions for change orders

  • You define the inputs for the competence matrix

You may be our future Delivery Lead Wind if… :

  • You hold a Master’s degree in electrotechnical or electromechanical engineering. A specialization in innovation and/or business management is a plus.

  • You have a minimum of 5 years working experience in this domain. A PhD degree in the field of Wind is a plus.

  • You have a very good understanding of the role and impact of wind technology in the energy transition.

  • You have proven leadership and social skills, based on experience with managing and coaching teams.

  • You have a strong customer focus with the ability to understand the needs of our customers.

  • You have a track-record in developing synergies with partners (for example, manufacturers, commercial partners, universities, companies)

  • You are experienced and skilled in project portfolio management with a proven track-record in successful project portfolio delivery and managing transversal project teams

  • You have strong communication skills and are not afraid to talk to and engage an audience

  • You are at ease in a changing technical and business environment and are able to adapt yourself to the needs of the project and the client.

  • You consider technical problems in their broader context, interested in understanding the economic and financial impacts.

  • You have a “hands-on” mindset, primarily driven by making delivery happen with quality

  • You value feedback & learning culture, and walk the talk

  • You build strong and trusting sustainable relationships and create your networks

  • You demonstrate the highest level of ethics and integrity

  • You combine a good mastery of Dutch, French and English
